0845 058 9000 Our IP VPN has been developed to transport a range of applications including delay sensitive data, video and real-time voice. Network intelligence built into the IP VPN ensures the prioritisation of critical business applications to help maximise productivity whilst providing a platform for converging data, video and voice networks.
We offer a range of traffic classes for your applications with each class providing different levels of service priority. Allocating traffic to a high priority class will ensure the speed and reliability of your delay-sensitive applications.
Our traffic prioritisation options provide the opportunity to deploy IP telephony, video-conferencing and other advanced business applications over your IP VPN.
Our network engineers will provide support and advice to help determine your traffic classification and scheduling requirements. The applications will then be prioritised across your IP VPN using our six Class of Service (CoS) model:
- Class 1 – IP telephony and Video Conferencing
- Class 2 – Media Streaming / Business Critical Application
- Class 3 – Business Critical Application e.g. Citrix
- Class 4 – Business Critical Application e.g. SAP
- Class 5 – Business Critical Application / Bulk Data Transfer
- Class 6 – Standard traffic e.g. e-mail / Internet traffic etc.
Low Latency (high priority) traffic will be prioritised over general Internet browsing and other unspecified traffic. Unspecified traffic will utilise standard bandwidth and only the low latency bandwidth when it is not being used.
